Service Description
Our passionate and enthusiastic native German teacher will guide you through 8 weeks of communicative and fun classes with 10 students max., ensuring a personalized and progressive learning style where small class sizes = great progress. The content of our A2.1 German course builds on the basic language skills learned in A1 and covers the following topics and language skills: - Everyday communication: continuing to develop basic communication skills, such as introducing oneself and others, asking and answering questions, and participating in simple conversations. - Travel and transportation: learning to navigate transportation systems, such as trains and buses, and to ask for directions and information while traveling. - Housing and accommodation: learning to talk about housing and accommodation, including renting, buying, and furnishing a home. - Food and drink: expanding vocabulary related to food and drink, and learning to order meals in a restaurant, discuss preferences, and ask for recommendations. - Health and wellness: learning to talk about health issues and symptoms, describe daily routines, and discuss healthy habits and lifestyle choices. In terms of language skills, this course focuses on: - Vocabulary: expanding vocabulary related to the topics above, and learning to use new words and phrases in context. - Grammar: studying more complex grammar structures, such as past tense, modal verbs, and subordinate clauses. - Listening and speaking: practicing listening comprehension and speaking skills through dialogues, role plays, and other communicative activities. - Reading and writing: developing reading comprehension and writing skills through longer texts, exercises, and short written assignments. - Cultural knowledge: learning about the customs and traditions of German-speaking countries, and developing cultural awareness and sensitivity. Books: The fee is €36; information will be provided after course booking. This course is suitable for participants aged 16 and above.

T&Cs @ GermanMind – Simple, Clear & Fair Course Bookings: When you join a GermanMind course, you book a fixed place in one specific group with a set start and end date. Small groups are part of the GermanMind concept and learning experience (max. 10 students in school, 6 online). Your place is therefore reserved exclusively for you and cannot normally be transferred, moved, or used in another course. Missed Classes & Substitute Classes: If you miss a class, free substitute classes may be available in another suitable group, depending on space and scheduling. Substitute classes are not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance by contacting [mail@germanmind.ie](mailto:mail@germanmind.ie). Cancellations: If you need to cancel your place in a group course, please email [mail@germanmind.ie](mailto:mail@germanmind.ie) at least 72 hours before the course starts. Because places are reserved individually and groups are intentionally kept small, cancellations made less than 72 hours before the course start are generally non-refundable. Bank Holidays: Classes falling on Bank Holidays may be rescheduled to the Friday of the same week.
