Service Description
This course is designed for students who have no prior knowledge of German. It covers the basics of the language, including simple greetings, introductions, and everyday vocabulary. Our passionate and enthusiastic native German teacher will guide you through communicative and fun classes. You'll enjoy a personalized and progressive learning experience where small class sizes lead to great progress. Course Details: - Duration: 12 weeks - Class Size: Maximum 10 students Content Includes: - Introduction to the German alphabet, pronunciation, and basic greetings. - Vocabulary for everyday situations: family, food, leisure activities, household items, weather, and making appointments. - Understanding and giving instructions, asking for directions, and ordering food. - Expressing opinions, future plans, and dreams, as well as apologizing. - Describing people, their appearance, and situations in more detail. - Numbers, days of the week, months, and discussing time-related topics. - Grammar topics: pronouns, articles, word order, cases (accusative and dative), prepositions, modal verbs. - Listening and comprehension exercises, and reading and writing basic German texts. - Cultural insights into German-speaking countries. Learning Outcomes: - Communicate effectively in everyday situations, including simple conversations. - Express opinions and discuss future plans. - Describe people, places, and situations in more detail. - Understand and use foundational German grammar and vocabulary. - Read and write basic German texts and lay the groundwork for continuing to A1.3. T&Cs @ GermanMind – Simple, Clear & Fair Course Bookings: When you join a GermanMind course, you book a fixed place in one specific group with a set start and end date. Small groups are part of the GermanMind concept and learning experience (max. 10 students in school, 6 online). Your place is therefore reserved exclusively for you and cannot normally be transferred, moved, or used in another course. Missed Classes & Substitute Classes: If you miss a class, free substitute classes may be available in another suitable group, depending on space and scheduling. Substitute classes are not guaranteed and must be arranged in advance by contacting [mail@germanmind.ie](mailto:mail@germanmind.ie). Cancellations: If you need to cancel your place in a group course, please email [mail@germanmind.ie](mailto:mail@germanmind.ie) at least 72 hours before the course starts. Because places are reserved individually and groups are intentionally kept small, cancellations made less than 72 hours before the course start are generally non-refundable. Bank Holidays: Classes falling on Bank Holidays may be rescheduled to the Friday of the same week.
