Choosing a German course can feel a bit overwhelming - especially when you’re not sure where you fit, what you need, or how fast you want to progress.
You’re not alone. At GermanMind, we hear this question almost every day:
“Which German course should I take?”
The good news:
It’s actually easier than you think.
Here’s a simple, friendly guide to help you find the perfect fit - whether you’re learning in Dublin or online.
1. You’ve never learned German before → A1 Beginner Course
If you’re starting from zero, the A1 Beginner Course is your perfect starting point.
You’ll learn:
basic everyday German
simple conversations
pronunciation that actually feels natural
useful phrases for travel, work, and daily life
the confidence to keep going
And don’t worry - our A1 groups are small with max. 10 students, friendly, and full of people who feel exactly like you.
Best for:
→ total beginners
→ anyone who “always wanted to start”
→ people moving to Germany/Austria/Switzerland
→ complete fresh start
2. You know some German but feel unsure → Take our Level Test
This is the most common situation.
You might think:
“I know a bit… but not enough for A2… but also not totally A1.”
Totally normal!
Our free online level test takes just a few minutes and gives you a clear result.
Why it matters:
Being in the right group means:
