What to Expect in an A1 GERMAN Course at GermanMind

What does A1 mean?

A1 is the official beginner level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

You don’t need any previous knowledge – we start from scratch: greetings, basic vocabulary and your first real conversations.

What will you learn in the A1 course at GermanMind?

Our A1 courses are clearly structured and build on each other logically. You’ll learn how to:

• introduce yourself and others

• ask and answer everyday questions (name, origin, job, hobbies…)

• form simple sentences for real-life situations (in a café, at the supermarket, in town)

• use key verbs in the present tense (ich bin, du hast, wir wohnen…)

• understand articles, plurals, sentence structure – all explained clearly

• have your first simple conversations – in class and in real life!

And best of all: we practise speaking, listening, writing and reading equally – you’ll feel more confident from week one 🇩🇪
